This morning, the assembly hall crackled with anticipation—and 2A delivered. Our students clinched the Choral Speaking championship at the 77th Hong Kong Schools Speech Festival—an achievement that will echo through our corridors for years to come.

Their chosen text, Roger McGough’s mischievously elastic All-Purpose Children’s Poem, proved the perfect playground for vocal acrobatics. At the heart of this triumph stood the stewardship of the training team, with our English Panel Head, Mr. Mong Kin Yau, and our NET, Mr. Shannon Patrick Michael, setting the interpretive compass and honing vocal colour and ensemble chemistry; and Mr. Chin providing deft overall coordination.

Beyond the champion’s pennant, this win affirms a central tenet of our school motto: perseverance is paramount. Class 2A has demonstrated the results achievable when effort, discipline, and collective practice refine ones towards perfection.
