Secondary 3 Field Trip – Cornerstones of National Security, Walking Hand-in-Hand with Hong Kong
Secondary 3 students will participate in class-based field trips and visits to various social infrastructure projects and facilities. This forms part of the learning curriculum for National Security Education.
Itinerary & Learning Focus
1) Guided Tour of the Tsui Ping River Drainage Works
Focus: Learn about the critical role of flood prevention and water resource management in maintaining the security of urban infrastructure.
2) Visit to the O·PARK (Organic Resources Recovery Centre)
Focus: Emphasize the importance of nature and ecological conservation within the community.
3) Visit to Lau Fau Shan Fire Station
Focus: Experience and understand the life-saving and rescue work of firefighters in times of emergency.
4) Visit to the Hong Kong Central Library
Focus: Recognize the value of self-enhancement and continuous learning to contribute to the nation.
Objective: Through these field trips and site visits, we aim to broaden students' horizons, with a specific focus on understanding how Hong Kong's infrastructure and social facilities are vital to national security.
